Dr Michael P Friedman, DC
After obtaining a kinesiology degree from York University in Toronto, where he grew up, and a Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Dr. Michael Friedman brought his passion to Vancouver. He opened his own practice, a small office that would grow into his vision of something bigger. His desire to provide integrative healing to the community eventually led him to open his own multi-purpose health facility, the Sequoia Wellness Centre, which he ran with his wife, Elizabeth, a registered holistic nutritionist.

Inspired by the incredible changes in people's health under chiropractic care Dr Friedman completed post graduate training in Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation (VOM) and has since been treating animals at the Vancouver Animal Wellness Hospital Dr. Friedman has since witnessed many of the same benefits in his four legged patients.

He recognizes his responsibility to give back to the world and volunteers locally -- for organizations such as SOS Children's Village BC and the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada -- as well as overseas -- in places like Israel, with the Israeli equivalent of the Red Cross, and in Peru, setting up chiropractic clinics for those without access to proper health care.

After some serious thought, Dr. Friedman has decided to move to Ottawa to be closer to family. It is with great confidence that he has chosen Dr. Armstrong to take over the care of his patients. To learn more, please visit www.stayactive.ca

Dr. Robin Armstrong, BA, DC
Dr. Armstrong has been involved in the health and wellness industry for over 10 years. After seeing the success her mother, a highly competitive runner, achieved through chiropractic care, and experiencing the effects herself as a varsity volleyball player, she was inspired to pursue a career in chiropractic. Following a degree in kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario, she completed a further four years of chiropractic training at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.

Dr. Armstrong takes a strong interest in helping people get active and stay active to enjoy a long, healthy life. Combining traditional chiropractic care with advanced soft tissue therapy, she designs individualized treatment programs to get her patients pain free, more mobile, and back enjoying life. Whether it is picking up their granddaughter, getting through the workday without a headache, or finishing their first 5km race.
